Hitch a ride to Aberdeen???

An odd request I know, though somewhat relevant considering Fuel prices.
Can I hitch I ride with someone to Aberdeen from the NYC or Long Island NY area? I'm flexible on the days and obviously would pitch in for gas.

If you can't hitch a ride, Aberdeen is a stop for the Northeast Regional Service on Amtrak, and the station is about 2.5 miles from ripken so I'm sure someone could come pick you up
