I am in the process of upgrading to bucket seats. The older style 12339047 have two retention plates to secure the Support to the vehicle. However these will cause issue when moving to the new seats because of the bolt pattern. I believe the seats will be part of kit 57k3196 or 57K3197 (TM 9-2320-280-24P-2 Pg 441). Instead of removing the rivets and modifying the original (and instead of buying online NOS), I reverse engineered. I took measurements to be as accurate as possible and then modeled them in a CAD system (metric) and created a flat pattern. There are slots on the supports, i intend to make a mold and form the features on the OEM style supports. You can also add a flange to provide same function.
I used AL5052 sheet in 0.063in thickness.
The Strike Latch is mild steel 0.083in.
I will attach all PDF files of the parts (formed and flat). The PDF files are 1:1 on 8-1/2x11 and 11x17. I will use 1/8 and 3/16 aluminum rivets to make assembly (as opposed to TIG)
front commander seat is coming along with driver soon
let me know if you have any questions
