HMMWV with RV windows in the doors

So once you put aluminum doors with RV windows in them, does that make the HMMWV an RV even if you take them off again? Asking for @patracy

Thank you. It's a 249 prototype we've been working on a few years. The mount pictured was developed for use in helicopters, an idea that was came up with the day we shot this video.

I am building fake armor doors for a couple of my trucks. The window swings out like the original armored doors and they use the same latch hardware, plus these are convertible to half doors at a fraction of the weight.

Love the idea of the convertible doors to half doors. I brought up this suggestion to Midwest a few years ago when I purchased my half doors. Makes perfect sense. Looks like it's going to be a sweet setup.

Seriously though, I have the RV windows on two of the compound vehicles here and have installed the same type doors on agency maintained HMMWV's and they love them. For me, the 2 year olds can open and shut them without concern of pulling the pin on the proverbial Guillotine and causing some rather serious injuries from the X door window falling. Understandably RV windows are not everyone's can of Bud Light...
