The Texas Children Choir, along with the CAF and Valero energy, is hosting an event at the Hondo Airport on Saturday November 9th. They will have Col. Gail Halvorsen (the Candy Bomber) speak as well as a real candy drop from a C-47.
General Borling, a Vietnam era POW will be speaking as well.
So far they have committed a C-47 The Blubonnet Belle, The Texas Raiders B-17 and the Tex Hill wings L-5.
Rides on the C-17 and C-47 will be available.
The TCC is using this event as a fundaraiser for their trip to Normandy, France, where they will sing for the 70th anniversary of D-Day next year.
They are currently looking for any military static displays. If you would like to participate or know someone that would, please pass on the information to me.
Our Scout Troop will be participating with our Deuce and MKT.
