I had bought a 003a a couple weeks ago and got lucky. It started up and runs great. So I was bitten by the mep bug and bought 6 more. 3-002a’s and 3-003a’s. They haven’t been run in 10 plus years or more. The best 003 was filled with thick black diesel. I cleaned out all lines, pumps, tank, filters and so on, ran straight sea foam through the system with no filters on prime out of a bucket. Cleaned everything out and after a day and a half it runs great no smoke. The governor and fuel shutoff need to be adjusted. On to the best 002. Fuel was crappy but not tar. Cleaned the same way and in 2 hours running. Fuel shutoff sticky. Next 002 did the same cleaning. New filters but injection pump plunger sticking. Will fix tomorrow. I’m on a roll guys. Looks like a 10 min fix. Thanks for all the info here. The other002 is missing a few parts and the 2 remaining 003’s are stuck from moister in cylinders. Will keep updating.
