I.D. this part please

Picked up a Hummer 6.2L take out a few weeks ago and it has this item on the front of the water pump pulley. Appears to be a hydraulic motor maybe? Only has one inlet/outlet though and its small at something like a 3/16" line input.

I've never looked under the hood of a HMMWV, so not sure of its function. Thanks in advance for any help!

Ahhhh, makes sense, Just applies hydraulic pressure to lock up that clutch on the front......

Actually, applied hydraulic pressure disengages the clutch.

You are welcome... Just curious?? What do you plan to do with the 6.2 engine??

It will be going into my M715 this Winter........
