I need some help identifying a part.

On my m1009, on the drivers side rear of the engine, there is some sort of brass sensor with a pigtail running to it. I believe the wires were black and yellow, but I may be mistaken. What is it? Temp sensor? I need the pigtail for sure, mine is dry rotted bad. The part was two pieces that could be pulled apart. It has a white plastic housing.

One way to figure out what any part is:

open the parts manual and look at the pictures.

When you find the picture, look at the part number and then you can google it.
