identify this genset please

Saw this on CL, trailer mounted but it sure doesn't look like a MEP-003. Perhaps a gas unit? This looks 1960s era, I'm unfamiliar with gensets that old....

I can't identify it either...not much good with gennies. The rounded fenders make me think pre-60's though??

It resembles a PE-95 but that is not what it is. Stumped here as well.

Notice the early style tail lights? That's 50's-early 60's.

The old stuff is all gas. Guess your old, cause your FULL of gas! Call and ask if there is a data plate.

I agree the jbk, could be an Air Force mb series (MB-15, MB-16 something like that) built from the early 1960's to mid 1970's. Part of the reason the mil-std MEP series of generators was introduced during the Vietnam war was the military found themselves in a logistical nightmare of trying to support a large number of diverse models, some of which had extremely limited production.

p.s. the MB series were built from "common" aircraft components to make servicing by then air force mechanics easier, they also had very complex control systems
