Info needed at Redstone Arsenal, AL

Just won an 818 at redstone. Truck is supposed to be a runner. Does anybody have a contact number for someone with info from Redstone? Specifically, I would like to know if there is a ramp that can be used to load an 818 on a flat bed. Truck needs to come to Miami, Florida. Thanks

You can call Teresa at GL up there (256-881-6134). She and her crew are great to work with...I have always been treated well by them.

There is a ramp to load/unload vehicles.

Once your EUC clears you can fax her a signed Pick UP Authorization and copy of your invoice. Put in the name of the person who will actually be doing the pickup.

She will give you an appointment and your guy can pick up your stuff.

She will also tell you which gate to come in........you may have to have an escort meet your driver but she will arrange that.

I need a tanker hauled back from Miami so I may have a backhaul for your guy.

BE WARNED......the half-assed "ramp" is built for STEPDECK height trailers (32-36"), not flatbeds (48-52"). And isn't an 818 a little high for a flatbed?

Just to forewarn you... security here is hell. There is a reason they have to have a 24 hour notice for your load out. Visitors to the base hate getting in here. Ill be happy to be the escort if you need one. Ive already got base clearance, so I can move about freely.
