Interesting question from the DMV

Mine went like this, on Friday at 4:00pm.

Me: I would like to register my truck.
Clueless Woman: (Looks at paperwork), says "Well, we will have to work it up".
Me: OK.....Soooo can we do that.
Clueless Woman: Well we need a scale weight and some other stuff, it will take about 30 minutes..
Me: OK, it weighs 20,000 pounds and what other stuff?
Clueless Woman: Sorry I need a scale weight.
Me: Can you just give me an estimate?
Clueless Woman: No, I need a scale weight.
Me: 20,000 pounds! Please give me an estimate!
Clueless Woman: You need to understand it will only be a ballpark.
Me: That's all I am asking for!
Clueless Woman: Fine. Somewhere between $350 and $500.
Me: Can I please speak to someone else, like your supervisor?
Clueless Woman: They are all gone for the day, I am sorry.
Me: Well obviously YOU are trying to get out of here for the day as well!
Me: Can we please just do the work up based on 20,000 pounds?

Clueless Woman: Well I need a scale weight.
Me: Good GOD!!! Do you get paid???

Left with no reg or title transfer.
