Wil Roosa Master head and rotor assembly interchange with Stanadyne.

Also what determines the RPM rating of injection pumps. I need a pump for an MEP004A. Will a higher or lower RPM than the standard 1800 work.
Thanks

There are long and short answers to this one, the short answers are:
Stanadyne is the new name for Roosa Master.

There is a lot to the configuration to a given model of injector pump, so it is best to only replace with identical units or ones the manufacturer states are compatible. Note the compatible units with different model numbers may use different base timing marks. Before getting into this too far it may be best to consult your local diesel injector pump rebuild shop.

p.s. the RPM rating is the speed the built in mechanical governor is set to, the external lever is designed to trim +/- around this speed, and in most cases is set in a fixed position.
