Hello Gents
I got my IP Hydraulic head off gaskets replace lined up the red mark on the notched gear with the indicator in the Ip housing nothing has been moved turned or anything since I removed the HH I took the 4 bolts off the small inspection cover to check those timming marks and they are not right on.
Should I
remove the HH again turn the engine so the marks line up in the small window on the front of the ip housing then reinstall the Hydraulic Head in alignment with the mark under the fuel cut off cover.
Or...
Just line up the marks on the notched tooth under the fuel cut off cover ( this is where it sets now) and leave it alone as it ran fine before I removed the hh.
Thanks Jerry

The crankshaft turns twice for each turn of the IP timing gear, you are 180 degrees out for all timing marks to line up.
If nothing is turned when the HH is off, it will all be back to normal after it is back together, like scrapman says.

I went out again and looked at the marks the red mark on the toothed gear is right on as it should be to get the unit apart the line in the little window is about 1/2 an inch from being on. so what I am understanding is when the red line on the notched tooth is 180 from its currant position the line in the small timeing window will be right on?
Thanks Jerry

the line in the timing window has nothing to do with the red line marked tooth! put the cover back on and stop confusing yourself.
