Iron Planet Title - DRASH trailer

Does Iron Planet issue titles? I was helping a guy with a DRASH gen/trailer that he bought from Iron Planet in California and it came with Florida title listing the serial number, not the VIN, in Iron Planets name...

Yes they do! Be prepared to pay a couple hundred for the fees.

Yes you gotta ask for the sf97 when you pay for it. You get a Sf97 for the trailer...then wait months until that gets done. You take that form to the notary and they submit it for a title.

Here in NC when you go to complete the purchase you now have the option for the SF97 or a NCDMV Title. If I remember correctly having them provide the title is like $200 over the cost of the SF97.

If I take the SF97 and get it myself its $25. There are road use tax on top of that which you have to pay even if you get the title through the auction site.

Just seemed odd to already have been titled before he bought it, and in Florida then auctioned off in California..
