Hello guys. I am new to the site and have been in the hobby 18 years. I was wondering if Steelsoldiers is an organized club? If so, where is the nearest chapter in South Chicago? Great site. Joe

No it is not a formal club with Chapters in different places. The name and this site are owned by the orginator,who goes by Steelsoldiers and the computer expert, Mangus580, who keeps the site up and running well. Other members serve as Moderators to keep everything clean and MV related. The site is paid for by steelsoldierswith the help of some paid advertizing and from donations from members. Welcome aboard!!

If this isn't a club I don't know what is! Helping deadlined people you have never met get their trucks off the road or even fixed!? HELL YEAH! Sharing of knowledge, tips and tricks, parts trading, help with shipping, etc. We are THE club to be in. No, we haven't got to local "club chapters" officially yet. YET!

Think of this as a group of like-minded enthusiasts, eagerly sharing tips and encouragement with fellow members for the restoration and preservation of this portion of our proud military heritage... or AA for military vehicle lovers.
The only thing close to a club is the one our wives or girlfriends threaten to take to us if we "bring home one more of those big, dirty, smelly army trucks".

I and others im sure would say its a great Forum that helps people in the past , going downhill now But I hope it turns around. Alot/Tons of useless new thread lately.

Yeah it's not so much of a club. It's a great forum site with a ton of info. I know it would be cool to make it more of a club with chapters from each state. I know I'm currently working on a new MV club for Arkansas that I want to tie in with this site because it is such a great site.

there are a lot of new members on this site with more comming with all the 2 1/2 tons comming on the market and no real source for info. this is the place to get it. The search mec on this site dosent always give you a 100% answer to the question that you are posting so a new thread gets posted. If everyone on this site had your attitude I wouldent piss up its a** if its guts were on fire But...... I have had people on this who dont even know me offer me help,advice, freindship invites to runs and camping trips what more do you need to call this a club of like minded folks I am sorry you post rubbed me wrong but you have to accept all good and bad as every one on this board dosent have the same level of experience so you will get the repettitive not so well thought out post as I am sure this one will get picked apart but just roll with it.
