I am going to put this on youtube, and send it to all my representatives. What do you think?
It’s a shame.
It’s a shame when in a free country any of its citizens become so filled with hate for the style of government that they transpose their hatred onto the military. I can understand in a non-free country where people hate a military that’s oppressing them, but when you’re free, and the military isn’t oppressing you, but defending you, why do you hate them?
The city council of Berkeley, California has told the Marines to leave their town. Not only is that unlawful and against the civil and personal rights of the US citizens who are Marines, it’s just hate-filled. If in a free country I as an American citizen can’t go to Berkeley, California and do what is lawful, then Berkeley California is no longer part of this free country. If a government body, whether by council, or by individual, infringes upon the individual rights of its citizens, freedom has been lost. It then becomes a dictatorship.
Why are they against the Marines? Because of what the Marines are doing? What are the Marines doing? The US Marines are doing exactly what the lawfully elected representative government of the United States has told them to do. Did the Marines do something on their own? No! If the representatives of the lawfully elected government vote for a policy to send the Marines to war with Iraq, the Marines have no choice but to go to war with Iraq. If you have a problem with the War, then you need to talk to the people that made the decision to go to war, the representatives in the House and the Senate, most of whom voted for the War, even though they don’t want to admit it now. Were they tricked? Well, then blame it on the people who tricked them with the information, which is still not the Marines. Was it the President? He was working on the same information that all the senators were, so was he tricked too? Who should you blame? Definitely the Marines and/or any of the Armed Forces cannot be blamed.
So why do the people of Berkeley, California hate the Marines? Maybe it’s what they stand for. The Marine’s Oath does not state anything evil or unlawful:
Article 1 of the Marines’ Code of Conduct says, “I am an American, fighting in the forces which guard my country and our way of life. I am prepared to give my life in their defense.”
Article IV of their code states: “I will never forget that I am an American, fighting for freedom, responsible for my actions, and dedicated to the principles which made my country free. I will trust in my God and in the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.”
So, the people of Berkeley hate the people who are sworn to “give their lives in their defense”. Why? I don’t care what you believe, that’s just ungrateful and hateful.
The Marines’ Oath states: “I, (state your name), do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same, and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to the regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice, so help me God.”
Maybe the city council in Berkeley doesn’t want others to protect the Constitution. Maybe they don’t agree with the Constitution. Maybe they don’t want this to be a free country and have a representative government, which is funny, because they themselves are representatives of the people of Berkeley, California.
My assumption is that most of the people in Berkeley would state that they believe in the idea of “celebrating our diversity”. So why don’t they celebrate the diverse ways of the Marines? Or do they just celebrate the diverse ways of people who believe like them? Well, that is neither “diverse” nor “diversity” and is intolerant. So, they’re not “celebrating diversity”.
What do the people of Berkeley through their representative government want? They’re unhappy with the decisions of the people who were voted into office to represent us. They don’t want the Constitution and/or the government it stands for. They don’t want freedom for anyone else but themselves because they’re selfish. What they want is an idealistic world that doesn’t need someone to protect us, so that we can have “peace” and so that they’re not afraid anymore. They actually believe we can have peace with people who will both cut their victims’ heads off on the one hand, and blow themselves up on the other, all the while using negotiation. (Peace at all costs is slavery.) They have a hatred of the American Constitution, Freedom, and even the United States itself.
So they (People of Berkeley) are now going against the laws of the representative government to violate the rights of a minority (in number) and run them (the Marines) out of town, because of bigotry and hatred.
If this was Georgia and the minority were African Americans, it would not, and should not be tolerated.
