Help! A friend of mine wants to buy one of my sets and I'm not sure which one to let go. I live in Northern NH and lose power a couple of times a year. During the winter months I use an outdoor wood furnace. The spec plate on the furnace says max amp is 3.8 amps ( Taco circulator pump and blower motor ) .In the house I have three Taco circulators, fridge, 210' foot well with 230 volt pump. We have compact fluorescent bulbs etc etc.
I have the 002A with1027 hours and the 003A with 77 hours and ASK enclosure.
I just spent the last hour outside with the 003 which I haven't run in two years. I drain the fuel tank and put new fuel in, checked the oil and it fired right up. I ran two halogen work lights off the accessory outlets and the charge indicator was right in the green. It held right at 60 hertz but the voltage gauge wasn't showing anything. Am I missing something? Is the 003A overkill for my house? I know it burns twice as much fuel as the other set but that ASK is nice and quiet. What do you think? Thanks
