Got this winch from the local VFD, traded some needed parts for their deuce fleet.I am gonna be a winching fool by spring

Already had a complete winch set up, drive shaft and pto, but this winch is a little nicer than my other one, need a new top plate.

I think the brake band is rusted up on it, other than that it looks pretty good.No luck involved in gettin this one Yankee! It took me two years to talk them in to it, they usually let me have any excess parts that they have but I had to work for this one

VFD's are a great source of parts, most of them anyway.Some will tell you they can't give you anything, but most will help you load your truck

I got the actual tailgate to my M715 from the VFD that had the truck. They removed it to install the tanks and pumps. Years later the county auctioned off the truck, sans tailgate. I happen to know one of the firemen and asked what the chances were that the tailgate was still around. He found it and it only cost me a few bottles liquid for their weekly meetings.
