Looking for belt part numbers

Hi All,

I've decided I need to change out the belts on my M1009 and was wondering if any of you have the civvy part numbers that I can take to NAPA and get some nice new ones.

Apologies if this has been posted before or somewhere else, but my searches came up with nothing.

Nobody has ever changed the belts on their CUCV?

Sean, I changed mine, but I don't recall the part numbers. I can check the belts to see if the number is on them. Just remember that civvy belts are a little bit wider than what the military used, so they won't sit in the pulley groove as deep. You have to make sure they are always kept very tight or you run the risk of throwing a belt.

Thanks for the info Armada. One worry I have tho, if you run those belts tighter, won't that wear out the bearings in the alternators in a big hurry?

I did get some numbers from a helpful guy over on the "G". Here's what he put on his CUCV:

Power steering belt Dayco 15455
Alternator 1 (drivers side) Dayco 15580
Alternator 2 (Pass side) Dayco 15490

I'll pick them up and report back if I have any troubles.
