Welcome to the site. These trucks are like any other 25+ year old trucks, that were owned and driven by 18 year old soldiers. Read about the 6.2 on the various threads we have. Rust is an issue depending on were the truck was located. They are nice trucks.

Like mentioned, rust is the biggest issue. There are things to look for on the electrical system, as well as the health of the engine and injector pump. Parts are easy to obtain, so if you have mechanical ability you can fix any thing. Check out all the M1009 threads and you will learn all sorts of things.
