I can easily tell that my M1008 was once a comms truck by the antenna mounts, paint marks, and wear marks in the bed. I assume because of this there is hole that goes through the bed and into the cab right behind where the driver sits. However, some where along the way the hole in the cab has had a patch welded over it.
Are these holes stock? If so, what are they supposed to look like? I can't imagine there would just be a 3" hole in the back of the cab with no way to strain relief or seal the cable port.
I'd like to open the hole back up so that I can pass my own communcations cables through between the bed and cab. But I'd also like a way to strain relief the cables and seal the hole around the cables while I"m not installing or removing stuff.
