I remember it was a year ago, that I flew to Vermont to pick up my CUCV, to drive it back to Minnesota! It made the trip home just fine (but there where a few ice patches in Indiana).

Problem.
I'm dying anytime I go up a hill. Start loosing power then I I let off the accelerator I die.

Have you changed the fuel filter? Where are you located now?

No sure didn't that was my first guess as well

Yeah, fuel filter change is a must before any further diagnosis.

So things learned during yesterdays failed attempt to recover my truck.

1. Tools only go so far. Bring commonly needed spare parts.
2. Plan for more than 1 day of travel. 30 year old truck is going to have hiccups.
3. Have a backup plan!
