The gear oil that came out of that pumpkin looked about as old as me atleast 28 yrs. The gasket was literally one with the cover I had to take it to a whiz wheel and lightly grind it off (light coarse, razor blade worked a little bit) Has anyone seen in their M1009's a epoxy where the magnet is? What I noticed just recently was my blazer was going accelerating normally (transmission recently rebuilt) but going uphill was a challenge for the blazer 6.2's arent power houses I know that but this was a little odd for my truck. The drag was heavy so I changed the rear gear oil and what a difference I used 80w90 dirty magnet.jpgdirty magnet 2.jpgold ugly gasket.jpgpumkpin.jpg
