M1009 Turn signal / Fuel gauge

I have not been able to figure this one out. In my M1009, when I turn on the right turn signal, the fuel gauge starts dropping with each click. Once I shut it off, it slowly climbs back to the level where it started. Doesn't matter if the lights are on or off, and it doesn't do it when I turn left. Any suggestions?

Look for frayed or touching wires under the dash. However, I think your trouble is going to be in the rear wiring harness between the firewall and the fuel tank. The fuel gauge is just an Ohm meter and the fuel level sender in the tank is an adjutable resistor. I would guess that the blinker wire and the fuel sendor are in contact somewhere under the truck. Possibly rubbing against the frame as well.
