has anyone ever converted their 101 to a different axle and put the 6 lug 1009 wheels on it? recently got a m1009 blazer and it is currently the only truck without a trailer, so thinking a 101 variant but convert it to accept same wheels as truck towing it, the 1009 blazer, seems simple enough, axle, hubs and wheels.

it wont ever haul anything heavy. show materials, occasional camping gear maybe, that's about it.

There have been several threads on this site of people putting 6 lug axles under a M101. Lots of people have put regular ball hitches on as well. Expedition Portal seems to always have threads about changing axles on M101 trailers to match up to wheels on 4runners and Jeeps too.
