M1028 Rear Axle Hop when Cold

When vehicle sits for a few hours the rear axle locks up and vehicle will not move until I punch it, then rear axle hops and moves. Another option is to put it in reverse and then forward. After the initial lock up it drives fine. Any thoughts on the problem?

Sounds to me you have a brake issue. My M1028 did the same thing, when I pulled the rear drums I discovered a leaking seal.

I am going to replace the rear fluid today. It is weird that if I backup and then forward it does not bind. Maybe it is a brake issue!
