M1028 springs

Has anyone tried relocating the overload spring on a m1028 to the middle of the pack? Since it is bent a lot more than the others i would presume it might work as an ad a leaf.

It'd be a pretty stiff overload. You'd be in danger of breaking the upper leaves I'd think.

Be easier to just get a purpose made add a leaf set.

This pic shows the springs in my current V30 civilian dually. They have been like this on all my duallies except my 77 K30 which had 1 more leaf in the auxillary helper pack.
