Technically it's 2.5 ton carrying capacity, so it's pretty much over capacity even when it's empty.

This is why practically every EU adventure truck builder uses 6x6 with higher capacity.

It weighs a little under 4000lbs. Be the 1079 TM weight minus the weight or a chassis truck and equals the weight of the box.

A M934 box with expandable sides weighs close to 10k. And m1079 box is not near that weight empty.

That's what the specs on the web say. I kind of chuckled when I saw the placard on my M1079 box. No idea how that was calculated.
