In packing tools for a M1101 recovery it would be helpful to know what size socket to take for the axle nut. Anyone know the correct size?

Big crescent wrench 
I had to loosen one axle nut up about 1/3 of a turn on one of mine at a gas stop because the hub was getting warm.
