M135 Info about generator

I am curious if anyone can tell me if the Onan generator in the bed of this M135 is from its time in the military or something that was added in its civilan use.

Onan is civi. Truck looks like it saw service with civil defense. Looks like a nice GMC.

I thought Onan was civialion also but just saw 5 on a popular liquidation site for auction. you are correct about the civil defence use.

Onan built MIL generators as long ago as WWII, and they still build generators for the MIL, though now they are a division of Cummins. The generator definitely looks civilian, though. Local Civil Defense was able to get surplus military vehicles at no cost, and also generators, both civilian and military (eg: standby generators from buildings, etc)

Pinstripping the G749

Pin stripping on the G749. Did you see that, there's pinstripping on it. Someone took the time to put stripes on it, it has stripes.

That girl was loved by someone at one time, it's beautiful. Are there more pictures?

Can you drop some photo's in the "un-official G749 thread" please. I can't stop looking at the details. Thanks for sharing it.
