I'm re-skinning my M109a3 box (currently .050" thick steel sides) and am going to aluminum. I'm told that the M146 trailers which look nearly identical to the 109 box's but longer, are already aluminum skinned. I'm trying to figure out what thickness the military used for the aluminum trailers. I want something thick enough not to get dented easily, but thin enough to save me some money and headache with some of the bends.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
