M35 gearbox/transmission to buy

Hello, I purchase a deuce m35 from John Winslow in Halifax NC and shipped it to Africa. It has worked fine until late last year when the gearbox got damaged due to operator error.

I have been trying to reach John Winslow to buy a rebuild gearbox but all his known phone numbers are not working anymore. I just found out from this forum that he passed away about a year ago. I'm not sure if his business is still open since I do not have anyway to reach his shop.

Can you please lead me to someone I can buy a rebuild gearbox for my deuce m35. I also need other parts but all my searches has not found me a good dealer like my only deuce friend John. May his soul rest in peace. Thank you and God Bless!

I would suggest any of our paid site sponsors.

There are tons of take out transmissions available on here (check the classifieds) and various other surplus parts dealers. I would check with m-35tom on here, I'm pretty sure he has new tranny's available with the overdrive gear installed.

You might try Clark Truck Parts Inc. Nitro West Virginia near Charleston (304)755-8811 . They are old family dealer of surplus trucks from the 1940's in the area. They have a lot of M35 parts available and seemed to be liquidating their older stuff. Mark Sergent

Which gearbox, the transmission or the transfer case? I have several good transfer cases and have access to expediters to Africa.

Hello NDT,

This is one of my problem. The vehicle is in Africa and the local mechanic is calling it a gearbox and I am not sure whether he mean transmission or the transfer case. But I have decided to buy the two and ship both just to be on a safe side. I am also looking to buy the flywheel just in case.

Thank you NDT
