Searched for this but can't find. Have a spare engine I need to put in the barn before winter and need to know the weight of the engine proper (without trans) so I can determine if my kubota can do the job.

As always,
Thanks.

zowie, you must have a big kubota, my little ford was "miffed" with my transmission and transfer case. the wizard that helps me also warned me to make sure that i have enough weight on the back to not nose dive and to make sure that you are going to have enough height counting chains, eq bars, etc.

hopefully, my new wrecker will be here in time to put my new engine in.

i loaded my engine with a huge logging trackhoe. it did not even know the "little piece of steel" was there. the engine did not rev at all to lift it.

good luck
