Hello,
The Oktoberfest Old Car Cruise In was 19-20 Sept. in Mt. Angel, OR. Mt. Angel is about 40 miles SW of Portland. We had a record number of military vehicles on display Saturday...13...well almost...A M75 APC came within 1 1/2 blocks of the display area when the M75 decided to stop running and develop a couple oil leaks. 2 M35’s attempted to pull the M75 out of traffic around a corner but the M75 was not going to be pushed around! We were able to get the M75 running again to steer it around the corner and get a few blocks down the road when it stopped again. One of the M35A2's towed it back to the storage yard. Here are the MV's we had on display Saturday: M41 Walker Bulldog, M114 APC, M2 Halftrack, 3 Ford GPWs and 3 M35A2's , M3A1 Stuart tank, M116 Husky, Ddoge M37, & a Humvee. The weather was terrible on Sat. It started to rain around 10 am and did not stop ALL day. On Sunday only 7 brave soles came back for more! The weather forecast was more rain Sunday, but it turned out to be a great day! Only a few sprinkles early in the morning. Everyone had a great time, even the M75 owner! Here are several links to videos.
Enjoy,
Steve
