M62 For Sale - Marketplace

This isn’t at a military salvage yard, but I thought someone might be interested. I just saw it on FB marketplace in Northern California.


Obviously missing some parts, especially the boom. Ad says Continental gas engine.


Owner is asking $4000, no idea about paperwork. He says it runs and drives, and the winch(es?) work. Listed as “old military truck” in Grass Valley CA. Let me know if this was the wrong place to post.

I think that is an M62. M62 has the hyd tank at the front of the wrecker bed, 543 has the hyd tank on the side of the boom and the front outrigger sits farther forward, almost 1/2 way into the fuel tank. M62 is almost over the rear of the tank. No pics of the pax side. M62 no fuel tank, 543 has a tank.

Totally right. I tried to do my homework on that, I messed up somewhere. It’s obvious now, looking at the pivot point of the boom that it’s the older style crane. The hydraulic tank on the deck is a good call too, I didn’t know that. Changed the title.

Mmmm. I don't know why but that M246 looks like it could be fun for the right price. Anybody know anything about it?

I have no clue about it. I just happened to find it scrolling through Marketplace looking for the truck that flyboy posted. I just searched for military truck and you should see how many things come up just in my area. I tried to go to Texas but for some reason FB wouldn't let me change my location.
