Haven't actually gone out and pulled stuff apart to find fault yet, but here is my TM prep which I'll print out for reference in the shop.
It took me quite a while to wade through all the cross references in the TMs and I am still not fully clear on some of it.. ***
Cut and spliced two pages from -20-1 then added pictures from different sections of -20-2

Problem: Don't like wood blocks on the throttle, would rather use idle switch on winch control tower! It worked last fall before I parked truck for winter. Hmmmmmpf.

916 RPM control, winch.jpg (ooops, forgot TM reference : 9-2320-363-20-1 section 3-82)

***HOWEVER - There are 4 relays pictured in -2 but instruction in -1 only says check/replace one relay.

and no, it was too dark to take pics of the winch recovery of the "stuck in frozen tyre pockets" scenario. Fortunately there was a suitable tree off to one side at the edge of the field. Needed snatch block on the trailer to keep the winch pulling straight.
Next step will be to respool the 200' of 7/8" cable, under tension, that is strewn all over the trailer - impossible to do manually with only 1 soldier B.
