M931a2. What is this ?

I have looked through the -10 and can not find what this is? Can someone here please chime in. Whatever it is it has a small leak. What is leaking out of it?

That is the valve for the ctis. The rubber duckbill let's air out through there when lowering tire pressure.

Air or a fluid?

Fluid. My ctis is currently working. No problems with it.

It could be moisture or if it's a consistency of a lubricant check inside the boot and see if it's coming from inside or if something got sprayed on the outside of it from a leaking pinion seal or something else. If it's coming from the inside there's a good change you have an outer ctis hub seal leaking gear oil past it into the system.
