My unit came with just the blank rear door panels.

Are the panels that have the hinges custom made? Or is there a part number for the ones with the hinges to access the compartment?

They are not custom. There are also rear access doors not intended for personale but for cargo. Many options. Some people put hinges on the ones you have and just use them.

OMG, it’s just flat steel with a piano hinge! Make it out of plywood, Aluminum sheet, or 1/8 inch steel plate.

Price will certainly be better.

You obviously haven't price material lately have you? You couldn't buy the Aluminum or Steel for less than you can buy them ready to bolt on for on epay right now. And why do you keep suggesting people make stuff out of plywood? Do you want Plywood doors on your HMMWV?? If you do, you are the only one.

Depends on what you need the HMMWV for. On a farm, plywood is great. Buying steel and Aluminum new is expensive, but repurposed steel and Aluminum is plentiful and easily obtainable. Finally, plywood covered by flashing looks acceptable. Even Morgan cars use wood under metal panels. Plywood also allows sizing and tweaking for final construction.

All you really have to do is cut it, put a piano hinge in and figure out how to keep it closed, but factory is also nice, nothing wrong with going that route.

Or you could also go this route, they come in several different sizes, this would look really cool!
