Where to get part number 5156636 GASKET NSN 5330-00-930-5292

Oh my little gaskets! Where do I get them?
So please can anybody tell me where to get the little "gaskets" {maybe they are O-rings?}.

I have not taken it apart yet, have a new MC on the way, but are the gaskets re-usable and/or where do we get them from?

TM 9-2320-361-20 section 8-10 pages 8-26 thru 8-29 indicates how to change out the master cylinder.
On page 8-29 it shows two gaskets needed identified as part #22 to re-install the MC. They are at the connections to/from the air-pak so I would need the gaskets or is it un-necessary?

So I go to the TM 9-2320-361-20P section II figure 91 and next page 91-1 to find the gasket is now part #8 (still need two) and they are listed as part number 5156636 GASKET.

OK, I found it
When in any TM push the control key and the "f" key at the same time to get a pop up box in upper right corner.
I did that and put in the 5156636 and it took me right to page 11 hundred something where it gives the NSN 5330-00-930-5292

What gaskets? The line leaving the MC is just a flare fitting. The rebuild kits come with everything needed for the MC rebuild.

I replaced the MC on one of my deuces and never used the first gasket. Did use a lot of NSFWE words and questioned the parentage of the designer/engineer on the placement of said MC. Just a hint, to get to the lower outside bolt that holds the MC in place (other three are only slightly more 'civilized'), be prepared to use the following 3/8 drive components - one 9/16 deep well socket, two six inch extension bars, one universal joint and a ratchet handle of your choice. Assemble as follows - deep well socket, 6" extension, universal joint, 6" extension, ratchet handle. Thread this through the hole where the brake line will attach (make sure it's out of the way first) and remove/install on the bolt by feel. Maybe you will be lucky and the MC was already replaced once, in which case this pesky bolt may be missing and you will miss out on the colorful language.

This is just about part number eight and should it be replaced like the TM suggests. NSN 5330-00-930-5292. I take it from the answers that it doesn't get renewed normally and gets "reused".

That's a copper crush washer like what is also used on the banjo bolts of the wheel brake cylinders. You should replace them when they are removed but many people reuse them. Bring it into an auto parts store and they will find one in the back for you and probably charge $.50 each or so.

I just went through with changing my master cylinder and airpack.....IF you only take out the line #10 and leave the fittings #9 where they are, then you don't need to even think about #8.

On the other hand, IF you new master cylinder doesn't have the fittings in it and you have to reuse your old ones from your master, then by all means I would replace the copper crush washers #8 you will have less chance of trouble....unless you are one of those guys with all the luck in the world....I am not, I think I was Murphy in another life.
