Proudly provided by the American Veterans Traveling Tribute, and sponsored by the Brown County VFW Post 9772, an eighty-percent scale replica of the Vietnam Memorial will be displayed on the county fairgrounds from May 11th to the 14th.
On May 10th, there is an escort for the Wall Hauler at 2PM, meeting at the Fayetteville Fire House at St. Rt 50 and US 68. The escort would be from there to the fairgrounds in Georgetown. (Down US 68 to St. Rt. 125)
On May 11 is the opening ceremonies.
The event is free of charge and open 24-hours. The VFW has an area dedicate in the center square of the fair grounds, for displaying any type of military vehicles, displays or collectibles. It is preferred the vehicle may remain there for the entire event, but is NOT mandatory. 24-hour Security is provided.
Sorry for the short notice! I know there a few SS's who live near Georgetown, OH - if you could bring your vehicle, the VFW and H.E.R.O Tribute group would greatly appreciate it. (As a motivator, free food to those who bring big green steel items!)
If you have questions, or further information, please call SSG Richard Dyer (Ret.), Quartermaster, at 513-335-1898. Just shoot me an pm if you like to RSVP. Hope to see a lot of SS there!
