MAY 16th, 2009, ARMED FORCES DAY EVENT- PARIS, TEXAS!
RESTORED MILITARY VEHICLES WANTED FOR DISPLAY 1000-1600 hours!!
The Sam Bell Maxey House State Historic Site in Paris, Texas is going to be hosting its annual Armed Forces Day Event MAy 16th, 2009 titled " To Defend and Protect!" . We are intending to have Military Vehicles on Display from WWII to Operation Iraqi Freedom (older ones if you got them, like WWI ambulances?), Living Historians camped on the Lawn
(We Got Confederates! ) We need Yankees (Union), Mexican-American War, Indian-War era, Span-Am, WWI and WWII , Korea and Vietnam Eras Living Historians as part of our program to honor the veterans from the Mexican American War up to today....
We also will be doing tours of the Grounds and the Sam Bell Maxey House (Confederate Army General), we are expecting visits from the VA Center Veterans in Bonham..... and I'd love to have some more military vehicles to display. Events going on outside the house are free, tours of the House will be $3.00 Adults, $2.00 Students and Senior Citizens, children under 6 free!
NO CHARGE to participate, and there may be some free pizza for our historians and collectors for lunch. Plus theres lots to see in Paris if you want to make a weekend of it.....
