Has anyone ever replaced the Generator head on a 005A with a later model unit like a Stamford 30KW ??? Mine is a 1977 & parts are hard to find.

That is not the problem on your set. If it makes power with the S2 in the up position, the head is good. Or do you have another gen set to fix?

Findind parts is My problem. Might be better to up date to newer Gen Head !!!

There is an after market VR that is way cheaper than a new head.
