Wrestling with a 009b. Driven by a Cummins 855 . Have a no crank, no fuel pumps issue. Power into the control box. Stop, Run and Crank swicth has power to it and tests good. Warning lights don't lite with test switch. Have power to the control panel assembly. Motor does crank when hot wired. Is there a " speed switch " on these units ? Have looked but can't find. Thanks in advance !

All TM's for the MEP-009B are not released to the public. I just looked at the cover of the -12, -24P and the -34. So if GMG have them, more power to em. Our Forum rules prevent posting anything but A Distribution.

Is the S5 remote local in the right position?

When you find the S9, over speed switch, press the reset. If that doesn't help, take the J37 c-Plug off, and jump pins A&B. Then try and start it.

If I remember right, and its only been 10-15 years since I have seen one, it should be on the opposite side of the starter. Open the left side front door. My moth eaten brain seems to remember it that way.

Is this Speed Switch just for monitoring the speed of the unit and shuts it down if it overspeeds ? Does it regulate the speed of the unit while under a load ? Unit has a Cummins governor as well as the Load Measurement Unit. Thanks !

Well the old adage of " it can take a long time to trouble shoot an electrical issue but a short time to fix the problem " rings true. Just by chance I discovered that one of the Canon connectors was only hanging on by a couple of threads. Tightened the plug and voila the ole girl fired up and is running and producing power like a champ ! Damn those are several hours in my life I'll never get back ! At 73 years of age I don't have many hours to spare !!!
