So to give an update on whats been going on the last few hours, I d/c the J6/P6 inspected the pins and did notice a bit of corrosion like I said but not a significant amount, I cleaned the pins and reconnected it and as soon as I turned on the power CB1 tripped, okay thats something, so I d/c reconnected it and got it to stop tripping the breaker, started doing some wiggle tests on the P6 connector and got the breaker to trip again, my guess is that some pins are touching in the P6 connector causing a short and tripping the CB1, today is my last day of the work week so I won't be back in the shop until Monday but at least I feel like I have isolated the issue to a common point so far.

Take the first few wire ties off the P side, of the harness and see if maybe a few wires as bent/broke/ twisted togather. Then look at the pins. See if any are bent. The same with the J side.

I've done this several times already, nothing appears damaged from what I can see, but the CB1 is still tripping when I engage the power

I'm still leaning on the P6 plug being the issue, but i'm not sure on what steps to take should I try to take it apart? How difficult is that? I can't seem to find this piece of the harness in the TM, I see the plug but I'm not sure what components it all comes with, has anyone rebuilt one of these plugs before?
