I recently purchased a MEP-803A generator. I am in the process of replacing the fuel tank wells and decide to replace the gaskets for the fuel sending unit, pickup tube, and the dual float level since they are in bad shape. My question is how do I go about removing the dual float level? When I pull up on it, the pipe hits the top of the tank. It does not pull up far enough to be able to turn the pipe and come out through the opening. I look in the TM and all it said was to remove the 5 screws, unplug wires, and remove dual float level. Thanks in advance.
