Mep-804 voltage ajustment potentiometer

There are 2 different AC volt regulation systems for the 804A. Are you aware of that? You can NOT mix parts between them.

You can not "adjust" the mechanical limit. They come preset. You exceed them simply using enough force to more or less break the R1.

Thank you for all your help. I guess I can just change the POT and make sure I dont turn it to the max or min.

Its not as simple as changing the R1. You need to make sure the rest of the system is all from the same manufacturer. THEN get the R1 thats made for that system. If yours smoke tested, you need to ask why? Was it because its the wrong R1? Was it because someone forced it too far? This info is posted in the TM forum.
