MEP805-A Question

Hello, I am working on a MEP 805A generator for my local Fire Department. Got it running, installed a new Voltage regulator due to no previous voltage reading. Now I have good voltage and Frequency readout, the convenience plug works good under load however I cannot get a power reading from the main lugs in the output panel. I closed the AC contactor and set the generator on L1-N, not showing any power on main output lugs. No fault lights. Any suggestions on where I go from here?

When you closed the AC Contactor, did the yellow light come on?

Yes, I thought it was green, but it might have been yellow, right above the A/C contactor switch.

Go to the right side rear door. Open it. The K1, (Main AC output contactor) should be in front of your eyes, Take the covers off both sides of the K1, Start the set. Close the K1 with the S5, (On/Off switch for the Main AC output contactor) and the DS7, (AC output control light) should come on. Go around to the right side. Use your DMM, (Multimeter) to measure from ground to A1, B1 & C1 on the input side of K1. Do you get anything on those terminals? If so, then do the same check from ground to A2, B2 & C2 on the K1 output side. What do you get?
