I cannot find my AF8 crimper….. never used it. Hate to buy another, then find mine.

I bought some of the m connectors to fix and modify my light harnesses.

Would this potentially be a cheaper alternative?

Thoughts?

I use these and they work fine.

You could probably find similar units for half that price.

I broke down and bought another af8 on eBay. Price was good enough.

On some of my connectors, just the rubber boot is garbage. Is it reasonable to just replace that or is that a royal PITA?

The boot over the male pin can be changed by removing the "C" washer by pulling the male pin thru, and then pulling the wire back out.

Slide the new boot on, reinstall the washer, and pull back.

A tiny drop of brake fluid will make things fit easier.

Crimper came in today.

What setting do you all use for the pins and sockets (talking metal pin or metal socket parts not rubber boot etc )?
