Military KLR?

Its sure possible but I am not overly familiar with the military version? I did think they were diesel engines though?

The M1030 is essentially a 'militarized' KLR 250, the M1030B1 (which I have) is a KLR 650, both gasoline powered.
The M1030M1 is diesel powered.

The one in Hambone's picture is missing the military-specific equipment such as blackout lighting, the front tool bag, and the rear luggage rack. All the original M1030 variants I've seen had the key superglued into the ignition (can't lose it that way!).

That said, it could still be a military off-the-shelf bike, as a lot were purchased direct from dealers by units because there were not enough M1030 types to go around to everyone who needed one.
