Missing pintlehooks on CCKW ?

I am restoring a CCKW-353 but it does not have any holes for mounting a pintle hook... The cross member simply doesn't contains the holes for mounting it or any indication that there han ever been one...

Why ?

Did some models come without... and does anybody know ?

This is a pic of the pintle on a G506, it should be the same.

Yes you are rioght and I am workin on that... I am abroad right now so Ill have to get sombody to check it for me..I will come back on that.

Interesting thought. But would'nt they want to be able to tow a trailer also
to carry spares and such??

How about a fuel tanker, I have never seen one of those tow a trailer.
