Prices of military trailers are very reasonable. Has anyone purchased two m116a3 trailers and took the axles out to make one two axle trailer?

235-85-16 tires are a good height for a deck over trailer .
The only issue would be lack of articulation with two sets of fixed springs.
I would build something like this.

It should be possible especially if you were using a tandem axle spring set up. The issue will be how to get working brakes and that doing a spring under the axle may run into clearance issues with the high spot in the center of the axle.
